Thousand Islands Rescue
Duty Schedules
We plan to put a calendar here indicating shift availability, chiefly for the use of our members. For now, an explanation of our manning requirements may help prospective members understand how we are operating. We will be as flexible as possible in scheduling shifts. Our goal (indeed, our requirement) is to staff first and second call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

FIRST CALL CREW
Leased Paramedic (24 hour shift)
Volunteer Driver
Volunteer EMT or Medic Assist (optional)
The First Call Crew will be stationed at the Squad Building, or otherwise be immediately available to respond when dispatched.

SECOND CALL CREW
Volunteer Advanced EMT/Medic
Volunteer Driver
Volunteer EMT or Medic Assist (optional)
The Second Call Crew should be stationed at the Squad Building, but may be on call from home if within 5 minutes of their designated ambulance (in Clayton or LaFargeville).

THIRD CALL CREW
Volunteer Advanced EMT/Medic (preferred)
Volunteer Driver
Volunteer EMT
Third Call Crews will usually be manned via "All Call" dispatches, although they may be scheduled as personnel availability permits. The five minute rule will be loosely applied.
